Alpha Lambda Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on March 13, 2017, in Austin, Texas, as a graduate/professional Greek organization. Our sorority was created to overcome adversities and status quo of well-known sororities, by giving everyone a chance to belong to our organization as long as they applied themselves in an accredited Trade, Junior College or University. Our goal from inception was to bring together educated women who shared the same goals and ambitions. After studying, researching and ensuring that our sorority was unique from all others, our sorority was finally established on March 13, 2018. On April 30, 2018, Alpha Lambda Beta was Incorporated and recognized as a Greek letter organization with two governing chapters Alpha Lambda Pi and Chi Kappa Epsilon.
In 2019, 13 of the original members vowed to uphold those same values as they began their journey to rebuild the sorority. On October 2, 2019, under the 13 original members, Alpha Lambda Beta Sorority, Incorporated was restructured. These women promised to live up to the standards set before them by the sorority founders of the early 1900s.
On November 2, 2019, the sorority held their first meeting under the new President – Ms. Vandrenese Bryant along with the new Board of Directors, Dr. Juanita Braxton and Ms. Aleta Eversley. Other new restructured members in attendance included Ms. Bria Morris, Ms. Bridgett Taylor, Ms. Crystal Price, Ms. Jennifer Mendez-Malavet, Mrs. Keyssy Garcia-Hoskins, Mrs. KquaMelia Lewis, Ms. Ladonna Anderson, Ms. Lecurisha Williams, Mrs. Marcia Resse, and Mrs. Tandrea Jackson. Together, following the new sorority vision, the 13 diamonds dedicated themselves to Alpha Lambda Beta, by giving back to their communities and helping other sisters along the way.
